Here are a series of free evolutionary biology timeline downloads. These charts show time passing vertically, so species' survival would also be shown vertically, usually as bars but more decorative forms such as branching trees can of course be used.

The pages are presented in sequence from totally empty to fully detailed. Click on the following links to download these free resources:

Free Evolution Timeline Downloads:

* a totally blank page,

* a page with the names of the time zones only,

* a page with the time zones and the major extinction events

The five major extinctions are shown as thick, bolded lines running across the page.

* and finally a page with all of the above and the major events for those time periods.

If you want to have this timeline in horizontal form, please click here. I will use the vrtical time line on this site simply because it is so much easier to write into.

It is also possible to make very nice looking tree-like pictures with it, but that is beside the point.
